Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How extended does the battery last?
A: First of all, let me tell you I really like my saw. I nowadays have two batteries. Which, I use most of the time when I am out doing gauze work. So, running out of battery is a good thing. I have times when I get beside and start my gauze work, I am beside for hours, when this saw, and it helps remind of me, when the batteries run out, not to work so hard. I am normally beyond using my saw two to three hours before I have to give up and take a break. The expectation this helps.
Q: I will this saw accept a scraper blade? I would like to use it for removing laminate flooring that comes up easily with a pry bar.
A: I don't know as regards scraper blades. I fall a lot of use out of my reciprocating saw sawing tree branches of 3" or less. It worked particularly well on Leland cypress branches after a storm.
Q: I hate to sound ignorant but all my cordless tools have come with battery and charger, so to use this saw I would need to buy both a battery and charger?
A: This saw is superb and worth the investment of a battery and a charger. But wait there's good news. The same battery and charger you will have to purchase will power a host of other Black and Decker tools. I have to the saw, a weed trimmer, a blower and looking to buy hedge reprove. Claudia, the saw is a good tool and investment and I think you will like it.
Q: Range of blade?
A: So sorry, but I cannot answer you. I purchased this tool to add to the B and D cordless saw collection I own. I unpacked it, made sure it worked and put it away. I think the blade length can be standard to that of Dewalt or Milwaukee saws. Also, you can be able to go back and look up something like ordering blades that may tell you the range.
Instead of finding a commute saw that can do a lot of things, sometimes this is better to only find a saw that can do just what you need. After all, all that additional power is not going to benefit you if it does not get applied in your day to day work.
